Another busy soccer season for our family. LB got a lot stronger in his kicking and had some impressive goals. He is so tough out on the field that, though most of the kids are bigger than him, he just ploughs right through them. He has a much better grasp on the strategy of the game which showed in his passing and ability to make plays. He would often drop back to defence as he was always paranoid his team wouldn't protect the goal (they don't have goalies yet). Their team finished first by a landslide. Winning all games except for one to an older team.
LSF seemed to go into his shell a bit this year, being on a new team with a new coach. He mostly played left wing which required constant running. It made him extremely fit and likely led to his success in cross country! He got braver with headers and was a super reliable player, being willing to change positions if coach needed him to. Their team took 2nd at the CFA Football Invitational which was a huge accomplishment.
